Black and Cream Small Fluted Flower Vase
This small vase is wheel thrown using a buff stoneware clay and finished with two pulled handles or lugs. I have applied a jet black underglaze to the exterior of the pot, then carved a fluted texture into the belly, revealing the lighter coloured clay below. It is then glazed in a cream matte glaze, which allows for lovely surface variation across the textures and colours of the clay- coming out cream, black, and brown in places. Hand signed at the base.
